OREF Taking Applications for Annual Mt. Hood Beverage Food & Wine Pairing Scholarship
In 2001, Mt. Hood Beverage and Oregon Restaurant Education Foundation (OREF) decided that there was a lack of recognition for operators in the hospitality industry who go above and beyond regular staff training by offering on-going employee training and professional development opportunities. Wanting to remedy that, Mt. Hood Beverage and OREF collaborated, seed money was invested to generate funds, and an endowed scholarship was created. The Mt. Hood Beverage Scholarship was eventually born and awarded for the first time in 2002. Since then, the scholarship has been annually awarded to deserving businesses from all over Oregon.
