Liberty
Northwest/ORA
Worker's Compensation Hospitality Program

Now celebrating the 25th anniversary partnership, ORA
and Liberty Northwest have worked together since
1984 to offer a quality workers' compensation
insurance program to the hospitality industry.
That program has saved participating ORA members
over $85 million and continues to provide significant
savings to its more then 1,100 member users.
This
program has saved ORA members an average of over 30%
of their workers' compensation insurance costs
during the past 25 years.
Why?
Buying
Power
The
program offers individual restaurants great
purchasing power. The larger total premium
created by pooling individual premiums creates
a better plan selection and pricing.
Risk
Sharing
Sharing risk improves the ability of each
individual participating business to absorb
losses and ultimately produces a lower new
cost.
Lower
Costs
Group members are directly rewarded for
safe work practices and reduced claims through
premium returns based on the overall performance
of the entire group.
Targeted
Services
Liberty Northwest provides expert safety
and loss prevention representatives to work
with employers and employees experiencing
high injury claims. This service coupled
with a variety of training resources for
ORA employers and employees is a major reason
for the ORA group's excellent claims history
and annual savings to the participants.
Risk
Management
A
workers' comp committee consisting of Liberty
Northwest professionals, ORA staff and ORA
member restaurant operators monitors the
group's performance. The committee meets
monthly to address loss trends, analyze
claims issues and identify loss prevention
needs for the group's members.
Workers
compensation insurance rates for the hospitality
industry have dropped by 70% since 1990.
A major reason for the drop is the wonderful
safety record the ORA/LNW Workers' Comp
Program has compiled during that time. The
ORA group sets the standard for the industry,
and year in and year out produces low claims
losses that are the envy of our competitors.
