Michael R. McCallum, President/CEO

Michael McCallum is the President/CEO of the Oregon Restaurant Association, the leading business association for the restaurant industry in Oregon.

A native Oregonian, he owned and operated fine dining restaurants in the Eugene and Medford areas for eleven years.

Having served on the board of directors of the Oregon Restaurant and Beverage Association (ORBA) for 4 years, he began serving as Government Affairs staff for the organization in 1987, then worked to facilitate the merger of ORBA with the Oregon Restaurant and Hospitality Association in 1989.

Mr. McCallum served as Interim Executive Director of the newly-formed Oregon Restaurant Association (ORA) in 1990, and was hired as Director of Government Affairs the following year. In 1999, he was promoted to President/CEO.

A Certified Association Executive, McCallum is a graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management, and has been a board member of the National Restaurant Association and the International Society of Restaurant Association Executives. He has served on numerous state-appointed boards, committees and task forces.

McCallum lives in Canby with his wife, Gretchen.
