The 2007 ORA Open Golf Tournament, was held at Langdon Farms Golf Club on Thursday, July 12th. Proceeds from the event benefited the Oregon Restaurant Political Action Committee. The sold out tournament was a huge success with 144 golfers the game and the day were both fun and memorable. The post-tournament lunch and awards ceremony gave participants the chance to win prizes based on team play and through raffle drawings. Prizes and prize packages were generously donated by organizations who continuously support a strong political action and included golf bags, clubs, and gift baskets among others.
The event served as an opportunity for restaurateurs and vendors to network and enjoy an outstanding day of golf while supporting ORPAC (Oregon Restaurant Political Action Committee), which helps pro-business legislators get elected and ensures the voice of the industry is heard at the capitol. ORPAC is one of the largest business PACs in the state and is recognized by lawmakers as one of the most influential lobby organizations in Oregon. The Oregon Restaurant Association and ORPAC will continue to represent the interests of the food and beverage industry in Oregon thanks in great part to the individuals and businesses who come out to Langdon Farms Golf course on the 12th.
