ProStart™ Employer Work Sites

The success of the ProStart program begins with industry! Students need 250 hours of paid worksite experience from industry employers who are willing to hire the students in their business. Appropriate worksites can include: restaurants, catering businesses, coffee shops, grocery delis, concessions, hospital or assisted living facility kitchens or dining rooms, hotels, banquet or catering departments, to name a few.

If you are interested in being a leader in the industry and help mentor the future of our hospitality workforce, please click here to sign up. OREF staff will be in touch with you to assist you through the short sign-up process, and then students will be sending you resumes for your consideration.

All students have their food handler card and have been trained in customer service, safety, sanitation, and have a GENUINE desire to make the hospitality industry as their career pathway!

We'd like to thank the numerous leaders across the state of Oregon who have hired ProStart students. Click here to see the list of employer worksites by community.
