Volunteers
Still Needed For The ProStart State HS Culinary
Championships
The 2007 ProStart State High School Culinary
Championships, featuring the Boyd Coffee Culinary
Cup and the Western Culinary Institute Management
Challenge, are just around the corner on February
24, 2007 - and we still need volunteers!!!
This is a great opportunity to get involved
in the event and provide encouragement to the
future hospitality workforce. Everyone who has
been a part of this event as a volunteer has
had a great time and enjoyed watching Oregon's
best and brightest culinary and management stars
shine!
Shifts vary in time but most occur between
9am-5pm on February 24th (Saturday) at the Oregon
Convention Center. Over 2,500 people are expected
at this event, when 34 high school teams compete
in the Boyd Coffee Culinary Cup and 27 teams
are slated to test their knowledge in the Western
Culinary Institute Management Challenge. The
first- place winners of both competitions will
fly to the National ProStart Student Invitational
in Charlotte, NC in April to represent Oregon.
Details/confirmations will be sent to all volunteers
in late December/early January.
To volunteer, please call 971-224-1541 or send
an email to: dawn@orefoundation.org
THANK YOU AND SEE YOU THERE!
